On the page thart you have for checking out items you should have instructions:

1. Connect to FTP Host:
2. Use your Archive username,, and password to connect to the server. You should see a subdirectory named "Tender_Thoughts" (if you don't see this subdirectory, you may have logged into the wrong server!).
3. Put your files into this directory. (You may also delete or replace files).
4. When you are finished uploading your files, check your item in by clicking on this link.

We recommend the following FTP clients:

* SmartFTP for Windows
* Fetch for Mac
* gFTP for Linux

Use the archive address which you have here; the other address is for using Internet Explorer to access the FTP site. Microshit products are very buggy and it is quite common for the page to not show the directories properly. You were using the browser ftp address which will not work in Filezilla.

Hello Gerry,

Thank you very much for your help. I have no problem to put a file but for the download.

For example, I wish to download in my computer reisenimsdenvo02radd_orig_jp2.tar (289 MB) at

I made three attempts. The first stopped at 42.1 MB, the second at 78.3 MB, the third at 81.2 MB

I have the same problems with other files.

Have you any idea of this problem?

I like very much I am historian, with, I can see books that are not present in the libraries of my country.

Many thank (again) for your help.

So the problem is with the DOWNload, not with the UPload, right? In your first email you wrote about a problem with UPloading!

Do you use a proxy? That may cause the problem

Use a downloadmanager. For me DownThemAll (I use the plugin for Firefox) works best. I also use Free Download Manager with FlashGot. (However, for Google Books with proxy often the downloads collapse.)
